Hi everyone, no new news today so I'm going to spend some time discussing "Back To Basics", the 5th track on our original EP. This was another carryover song from the Katara days. I wrote it around the same time I wrote "The Calling". Things weren't going so great for Katara at the time and I was keen to go back to basics and just play some rock music. I deliberately wrote a very simple song that I could easily teach the band. Lyrically it's quite typical of my writing. It has that never give up, serve God at all costs message I like to convey. I've always liked this song and it's the sort of track that could easily be played live when we eventually get back gigging.
